I use dead man switch. Sometimes you need to keep both hands on pattern. Also faster than moving foot back to switch to start or stop. Used the switch on my EX21 one time in six years (to put it in on position). I rest my foot on a short step stool with switch mounted to it.

Just to be difficult (I'm a woman, it is my job) I don't have a foot switch.

I had an on/off type foot switch laying around and used it for a bit, but never got the hang of it, so haven't used it in years.

I keep putting off getting a deadman switch because I don't sit with my feet on the floor. I need to rig up a system like JT The Clock Man has, That way the switch could be useful.

At school, all of our Dewys have giant knee shut off switches installed. They are taking some getting used to, I keep hearing "Mrs.N, thats not how you are supposed to do it!" I am a creature of habit.

I ordered the deadman switch from Amazon. I see that harbor freight has what looks like the same switch for about $8 less. Oh well, live and learn. Thanks again everybody...I really appreciate all the feedback. Can't wait to try out my new foot switch.
