Travis Posted February 24, 2009 Report Share Posted February 24, 2009 Hi Guys, I spend a lot of time behind the curtains adding and modifying code to make the website work better and make it do what I want it to do. This can sometimes cause problems, especially when you're not a programmer. A few weeks ago, I modified a file (a cron-job script for the geeky few who are curious) to automate my forum backup. Well, I goofed it up and as a result, people were not getting their email notifications (from bookmarked threads to PM notifications). So if you wake up to see your email inbox full of emails, this is the reason. I'm not spamming, its just the system trying to get back to normal. Sorry about the inconvenience. If I modify anything in the future, I'll let y'all know so you can keep an eye out for those pesky bugs. Thanks to realFez for bringing this bug to my attention.
