Ike , I have a small shop as well and i have the Shop vac air cleaner......I learned about it through Steve Goods site, Scrollsaw workshop.   For a small unit it really pulls a lot of fine dust out of the air......I clean it once a week .....I can recommend it......If you go to his site and scroll down a page or two his has a link for it...Hope this helps.

I was going to mention the grizzly benchtop unit, but I see the shopvac unit filters down to .5 micron. THAT is a seller!

235 CFM's. a 10 by 10 shop with 8' ceilings is 800 cubic feet. your shop air would be filtered in about 4 minutes.... down to .5 microns!

if its too loud, theres ways to baffle the sound

I have the Shop Vac air cleaner in my shop.   I also have a box fan/filter set up and between the two they work pretty well.   I might add I also wear a face mask when creating dust.   For those that have the Shop Vac 103000 unit they have a filter kit 80117062 on ebay right now for $19.98 including shipping.   That is the best price I have ever seen for that kit and I ordered one.
