hawkeye10
Danny my EX16 came with dust collection but it was so loud an kept getting clogged up with small cutoff's I took it off. Look at the photo and you can see what I came up with. One fan blowing across the table and into the filter of the other does a pretty good job. I also wear a dust mask. jbrowning
Hello Don, this might be a foolish question. But I am assuming the box fan is blowing away from the Excalibur? Thanks Jim

hawkeye10
Hello Don, this might be a foolish question. But I am assuming the box fan is blowing away from the Excalibur? Thanks Jim Yes it's blowing away. The 20"x 20" filter catches the dust and I vacuum it off with the shop vac.
danny
Thanks for ALL the Posts. Don I have had that same set up for many, many years. It does a OK job with the square fan andFilter catching the majority of the sawdust. I still get a little sawdust that just doesn't get captured and consequently it floats ALL OVER THE PLACE. Anyway I do thank you for your input................................Danny :+}
Sycamore67
I have a Hegner 18VS which I have adapted for dust collection both above and below the table. I used 3/4" PVC pipe and fittings and also some larger to attach to my HEPA Vac. Above the table I used 3/4" Loc Line for a vacuum pick up and also Loc Line for the blower part. Both are easy to move and position to pick up the fine dust. Below the table is a 3/4" PVC pipe to suck up the dust below the blade. The system is very effective and there is very little dust which escapes. With this setup, I do not need to wear a dust mask. amazingkevin and Scrolling Steve

I also use a MASK and have the SAME SETUP on my EX 16 except I have not upgraded to the addition of the small blower fan I depend on the little blower tube which leaves my saw table top with layer of dust as I am working. I will upgrade Sam
jrpeteo
I use a regular shop vac in another room operated by remote control. Had a lot of help on this from member "Multifaceted" (Carl Jacobs). I had severe COPD and had to remove as much sawdust as possible. How I made it. https://youtu.be/DnVFuMb4LqM Mounted on saw.
