hawkeye10
I saw this at Harbor Freight and need some so in the basket it went. I use it when I buy lumber to wrap around the load so it won't slide out of my truck on the way home. [ 10 miles] Later I thought this would be good to wrap our wood puzzles in so I tried it and it works good. I bought the $8 dollar one. I wrapped the puzzle up then very lightly went over it with the heat gun and " WaLa ". http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=strech+wrap Rolf

Dan
Don, show us a picture of your shrink-wrapped puzzle. That sounds like a good idea.
Gonzo
I do the same thing but I cut up cardboard boxes, nice ones of course, and use that as a packing backer
Iguanadon
Very interesting Hawkeye... I may have to get a roll. I usually shrink wrap my puzzles using these bags and a heat gun. But when I'm at an event without access to electricity I have thin plastic bags I put them in and tie them as tight as I can with a twist tie. This stuff that you mention may be a good alternative for me in these cases. Here are the shrink wrap bags I use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YWNL7IU/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1085XS0GN0V3T Edited December 31, 2016 by Iguanadon
hawkeye10
Don, show us a picture of your shrink-wrapped puzzle. That sounds like a good idea. Dan here is a couple pictures. One is me holding it up by the stretch wrap. I bought this to wrap lumber and it's 5" wide and works fine but it would be easier if it was wider. Maybe I would buy the wider roll HF has if I was doing this every day week after week.
Dan
I like it. I may also try Gonzo's idea with the cardboard under it.

Tommy Johnson
When I am making boxes I use it to tightly wrap it around the sides of the box. I has worked for me a long time now!
