Sycamore67
I have an older scroll saw that I am not using and want to give to someone. It is the saw that I started out on and might be good for a beginner. It was made by Penn State in 1990 and is a 15" variable speed one. The bellows does not work but it has an aquarium pump to blow dust away. It uses both pin end and plain end blades. I ran it today and it rooms pretty smooth. The price is that I want someone who wants it uses it and does not just resell it. It would be good for a beginner to start with and find out if they want to pursue this hobby. If you decide that you do not want it, then give it to someone else. I am located in northwest Indiana and it is pickup only...no shipping. If you are interested, please send me a message. WayneMahler
Maybe look for a veterans outfit close by and see what they have to say. At minimum you can get a tax deduction for a donation. And still help those that served SCROLLSAW703
spirithorse
I may be interested but, will have to find out how far the drive is for me and when I can take some vacation time for a day trip. Please expect a Private Message on this site from Spirithorse. Someone just asked me if I would give them lessons and this would be perfect to let him start out. If he doesn't enjoy the hobby I'll pass the saw along to someone else. God Bless! Spirithorse WayneMahler
Lucky2
Paul, it's very nice of you to think of helping others, you're to be commended for doing so. Seeing as how it's a variable speed saw, it will be easier for a new scroller to learn on. Thanks for doing this. Len
spirithorse
Thanks again for the offer and I admire your generosity to help someone else. I just want to let the forum community know I have passed up this offer so, I think it is still available if you want to contact Sycamore67. God Bless!
