trackman
I broke down and spent some money on a Jet Air Filtration System on sale and free shipping. As you can see the filter has a lot of dust on it. It was a blight blue when new. I stirred up the old dust with a air hose. There was a fog of dust in the air but after about 5 min you couldn't see any. The unit makes about the same noise as a small window AC unit. My shop is a two car garage. Scrolling Steve
Can you clean and reuse the filters or do they have to be replaced !?
trackman
The first filter is like a furnace filter only heaver. The one inside if almost like cloth. Said both can be blown out. Scrolling Steve

hawkeye10
This furnace filter catches the dust from my SS and I vacuum it off with my Shop vac. The filters last a long time doing that. You could do the same with your filter. Edited January 13, 2017 by hawkeye10 lawson56
nrscroller
Hi I posted something also in the SWCC forum that I have this unit, I have a metal rimmed filter with a rubber edge that is washable, and a 3 bag filter behind that. I also have a charcoal filter that is supposed to work if painting and with smells but I have never used that. Bill
bandaideman
That is the one I have had for several years now have been happy with it but did have to make an adjustment when it stopped running about 3 months ago. It was not any of the usual things I found caused it to stop. It was the mother board the high medium and low switches did not work the on of did not work so disconnected and direct wired to plug and put on a chain switch with help from a friend. Now only has high and turns on and of just fine. I did just blow mine out and reuse and have the metal casings. I did one day spray paint and learned not such a good Idea without a different filter. Used black paint and the filter was completely black after the first coat was on.

heppnerguy
I have to confess that I do not use any filtration at all. I figure if it gets me now, I have already outlived a lot of people. This post has got me thinking a little more and I did order a new respirator as I really do not want to end my life with breathing problems because "It won't happen to me." syndrome. I am glad you posted what you did, here Dick heppnerguy
