Larry A. Blakely Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 Decided to try tilting the table to make a sign for my son. Instead of raised letters I recessed them as it seemed appropriate for the name. Rolf, lawson56 and jollyred 3 Quote

Gordster Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 Very nice sign.your son should love it. What I do with my signs when I recess the lettering is in the case of the letters O and D,I would go anti clockwise for the center part and that would raise the center to match the height of the frame for even a more 3D sort of effect. heppnerguy, Be_O_Be and Larry A. dgman Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 Hey Larry, nice to see you, it's been a while. Nice looking sign! Are you going to stain the recessed pieces? Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 A fun twist on things. It worked out well.. I like Gordies idea on this too..You might want to keep that in mind and give it a try the next time you do one of these plaques...just to see if you like it, if not..you can discard the center cuts and no one but you will know Dick heppnerguy Quote
