Rob Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 Very nice Rusty. I'm going to spend some of my craft fair earnings on a pen turning mandrel and give it a go. Rob Quote

Sparkey Posted January 17, 2017 Author Report Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) Thanks everybody. My wife is awesome at making clothes and other things but has never quilted. She is going to take a quilting class and talked me into taking it with her. I have never sown before so the seam ripper is for me. I think it will come in very handy.lol Edited January 17, 2017 by Sparkey wombatie 1 Quote

DukeNukem Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 Nice turning looks good. Jerry Quote
meflick Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 I agree with Kevin, I suggest that you make up a good supply of different kinds to take to the quilting class with you for those will be a hot item once they know you made it. Any good seamstress, no matter how long they have sewn, always has a good seam ripper or two laying around. My mother would have loved that one I am sure. Thanks for sharing it and enjoy the quilting class with your wife. Always good to find things to do together. Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Wow. This is one ripping good piece Dick heppnerguy Quote
wombatie Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 I personally have 2 seam rippers, I used to use them a lot until I gave up sewing. That looks great and I am sure there will be a lot of admirers at your new class. Good on you for giving the quilting class a go. Marg Quote
