Popular Post cmarsch Posted January 20, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) So after almost a year of being a member of this forum, I would like to take time and finally share some of my work. I have actually been scrolling since I'm about 14 y/o I'm 34 now. I learned the basics from a friend's father in his basement on an old, old, old, old, did I say old delta scroll saw. I did stop for quite some time as I found better and more important things to do as any boy in his late teens and early twenties would. About five years ago I purchased a craftsman of my own and started making sawdust on my own again. And last year I joined this forum, learned a lot of new things just from reading. I also took the ultimate plunge and purchased an EX30 FROM Seyco last Marich, WOW! But here is some of my work, please feel free to comment any constructive criticism as I am always looking for ways to improve. The Eagle Scout plaque was what I was asking about quite some time ago about the dye for wood which never worked out for the actual color I wanted to achieve so I ended up just painting. The lettering on it is actually cut twice. Once out of the 1/2 inch background and then out of 3/4 inch and placed back in for three raised look! I have many many more projects but no pictures of them on this device. Enjoy! Thanks again for looking! A Big thank you to all the pattern designers! Razorburne Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 Wow! Each picture looks better than the next! I am new at this but your skill is very impressive and inspiring. Where did you get the pattern for the medical school graduation? I have someone in nursing school set to graduate this spring and would love to make them something. Quote
cmarsch Posted January 20, 2017 Author Report Posted January 20, 2017 They were custom orders from someone. I designed that pattern myself using inkscape and Google images. You can find the tutorials here on the forum under village university I believe. Quote
Razorburne Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 Wow. Even more impressive to know you made the pattern. Again, great work and thanks for sharing. I hope to share some of my work one day. Kee up the good work! Quote

dgman Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Beautiful work Christopher. The cutting on all the projects is excellent! The only criticism I have is the shiny finish on some of the Intarsia pieces is overwhelming. But that is just my opinion! Quote
