NiTay614 Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 I wanted to do something fun and not quite so demanding. I found this in a magazine and felt it would fit in with my work space. Besides it is the question My scroll saw asks me on a daily basis. Quote
shadylady0447 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Nice work, Nita! You really did an excellent job on the painting/staining! I love it! Quote

NiTay614 Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 This was actually highlighted using paint. It is a tote painting technique I know as color washing, in which acrylic paint is diluted with water and washed across the wood surface. This was my first attempt at this process. I joked around with the words: "repaint, repaint, thin some more" as I did the painting. Yes, I have a sense of humor. Quote
Travis Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 That turned out great! I really like that. You did a nice job on the painting too. Quote
