meflick
Welcome to the Village from East Tennessee in the USA. Afraid I cannot give you any advise about trying to get a saw in New Zealand.
Blaughn
Welcome to the Village, Peregrine! From that list I would have to lean toward the Hegnor or the Jet (if it is the model based heavily on the Excalibur). My motto is to buy the best once versus the cheaper one twice. ike
Welcome to the village. As for the best saw just get the best that your budget will allow. That's what I did several years ago more than I want to admit to .IKE
Rob
Hi Peregrine, Welcome to the village and the scrolling obsession . Good scrollsaws are hard to come by here but Carbatec stock the SS530c previously known as the Excalibur and a Hegner clone. If you are new to scrolling though, these may be outside your budget. Whatever you do, make sure any saw you consider can take pinless blades and check the reviews section of this site for guidance. Whereabouts in NZ are you?
