Hi folks,

I'm 46 and have been a woodworker since I was a child. Taught many of my skills by a very gifted and patient father. I'm a Machinist by trade but currently living the Canadian dream as a Zamboni Operator/Maintenence man. I also do copper sculpture and blacksmithing and hope to work my woodworking into those crafts as well. I've always avoided scroll saws since owning a very poor one years ago, however I couldn't say no to the deal I got on a Delta 40-690 and am loving it! Hope to not only learn from the collective on here but hope I can contribute some tips, projects ideas and patterns. Thanks in advance! My brother in law is on here as well (Riksss) and is a great source of inspiration to me!

Hi... Capt Crash!

Love that name!

Welcome to the neighborhood.  I am a saw dust lover too and have been messing with scroll sawing for many years.  On my 3rd scroll saw now.........  just wear them out or they are just pieces of cra..p.  This last one is the best... RBI Hawk  (26").  Had it for several years and it just hangs in there with me.

Looking forward to hearing your inputs...........

Janie

Welcome to the village from Minnesota.  I am a son of one raised in "The sault" before he immigrating to the US before WWII.  His sisters remained in Canada and I spent many summers visiting and enjoying "the sault", Peterborough and Stony lake - a second home to me.

You will find the Village to be an extremely helpful, welcoming and a wealth of knowledge offered generously.
