Ken O Posted February 3, 2017 Report Posted February 3, 2017 I volunteered to give away 4 of my trophies for the model boat Nationals in Vegas this Oct. There are about 40 different racing classes but they also do what they call "Concourse judging" for the scale hydroplanes. They judge how accurate the hull is compared to the original race boat. There are 4 different "Scale" classes, 1/7th Modern, 1/7th Vintage, 1/8th and 1/6th. I am doing the trophies for these 4 classes. Should be fun, plus get my name and face out there since I'll be there racing too. I'll probably do them with a Maple base, red cedar pattern and maple backer to make them a little nicer than the previous ones I've done. http://www.nats.namba.com/ I haven't done them yet but I figured it would fit in the "Bragging Rights" section. haha! wombatie, Fab4, amazingkevin and 1 other 4 Quote
Gordster Posted February 3, 2017 Report Posted February 3, 2017 They look great so yes they will belong in the bragging section. You will be some proud to donate the trophies. Quote

Knowing you and your carbon fiber boats,You'll be taking the very same trophy's home ,Winner takes all! They sure look good and worth a little playful cheating to get one! Maybe change your avatar to your multi class hydro crossing the finish line, rooster tail and all would be exciting to see. Quote
