Dan
I finally drove to Woodcraft to pick up some Pegas Modified Geometry blades. I tested them out on a couple of cuts on poplar. OMG! These are faster (more aggressive) than other blades. I am cutting a stand-up puzzle of 3/4" and it cuts very well. It's fast, just a little more patience is needed for control. It cuts very clean, both top and bottom. I don't know about the durability yet, but so far I love them. I was using a FD-UR5. The Pegas #3 Modified Geometry is just 0.01" thinner but it feels very nice and the kerf still works for these puzzles. For all who recommended them, A BIG THANK YOU! djhwoodwerks
I bought a pack the other day myself from WC to try out. They cost a little more at, $4.99 a pack, but I tried them on 3/4" BB and the cut like a champ! They cut straight, didn't have to push the stock at an angle, pushed straight in, which was nice! I will be buying more of them!

Gonzo
I'm a big fan of the modified geometry blades. You can get them much cheaper on-line. My FD blades are now dust collectors instead of dust makers. Bfreeman

The Pegas modified geometry blades are the best I've used for cutting puzzles from 3/4" hardwoods.
kmmcrafts
I use both Pegas MG and FD blades.. while I was a die hard FD blade user a year ago.. when ordering some Pegas sample packs I found I really like Pegas blades.. I do still use FD blades as well but not as much... Pegas are a fast aggressive cutting blade.. while I typically stack cut most all work I do.. If there is a project that isn't being stack cut.. I definitely go to the FD-UR blades.. That all said.. in the less aggressive cutting Hawk saw I use exclusively Pegas.. but with the aggressive cutting DeWalt.. I do occasionally go to the stack of FD blades.. as stated above.. Kevin
