Denny Knappen Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 While making the 'Puppy Coin Bank' there was a lot of gluing and waiting, so I made this 'Grey Wolf' pattern by Jacob Fowler. The project is found in CWWC March 2008. It is approximately 8" in diameter not including the base. I use 1/2" Walnut and 3/4" Red Oak. The blades were FD New Spiral #2/0, UR #1, and Polar #5. There is one coat of sanding sealler and two coats of spray Shellac. The upright fits the slot perfectly, so there is no need for gluing. Comments welcome. heppnerguy Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 Another great little piece.. when i make a shelf piece like this I usually cut and extra tab on my piece and a slot for it to fit into, sort of like you did here..I do it because is simplifies the mailing of the piece and usually will fit into a mailing envelope instead of a box Dick heppnerguy Quote
