UncleApple
I follow Steve Good on YouTube and he recently posted a review & support video of Heritage Wood Specialties. Has anyone ordered their "Scroll Saw Pak"? It seems reasonably priced to just have some extra wood and I'm always looking for that! So far, my experience has been less than stellar, especially considering the "nod of approval" from Mr. Good. I placed my order & received an immediate notification from PayPal, but never received ANYTHING from the company. I emailed them & nothing...then I called & left a message. Within 15 minutes of that call, I received an email stating that they had received my order, but that it would ship out for another week at the earliest due to lack of stock. They then informed me that the website says to allow for 2-3 weeks for shipping anyway. Their "premium" woods are a little more pricey but probably ship quicker... Anyway, enough rambling. I'll let you know when I get the goods and look forward to your remarks tonylumps
Scrolling Steve
Jeff, I have ordered from them once so far and knew from their website that it might be as long as three weeks to get my order ....I waited 21/2 weeks and sent them and Email on the status of my order and never received a reply....I did get my order in exactley 3 weeks and the product was great as advertised, The quality of the wood was good and prices were in line for what i received.....I did drop them another Email saying that I thought that people might use them more if they improved their communication skills ......Did not receive a reply to that Email either. I liked the wood and the sizes they offer and will order again from them for stock...I now know not to order something I might need in a hurry !....Just my Two cents worth..Steve. David Lehner
I have been buying from Heritage for a number of years.... the wood is good... the service tends to be a bit slow.. the original owners sold to the people who own it now.... the service seems to be slower (getting the product) I think the scroll saw thing is secondary. I do not buy their scroll saw packs ... I order larger pieces (24x24 inch) in 1/8. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and sometimes 3/

Heritage seemed higher priced and I don't like to wait on wood when I need it
hawkeye10
If Heritage is that slow to ship they won't get my business. amazingkevin

redwine
The last time I ordered from Heritage was 3 years ago when I needed some wide panels of maple glue up. This was the first week of Dec. and it was 9 weeks and 3 phone calls and excuses before I finally received the order. I thought that the delay may have been that they had closed the books for the year and would not do the order until the new year. The orders before that for just normal size and thickness was also slow, 2 to 3 weeks. I do not even consider ordering from them any more even though they do have very good wood.
