wombatie
I was just wondering if any of you have taught your children or grandchildren, the art of scroll sawing. If so what age were they? Do they still do it or did you give up declaring never again. Lol. Marg
merlin
My grandson was/is interested in scrolling (12) but at that age there are other wonderful things on a child's mind and Pop's always on the saw (hehe) Merlin
Clayton717
I've tried but they want nothing to do with the shop. I thought my son would really enjoy doing it, unlike his sisters. He can draw and paint as well as I do, but says he don't want to learn the saw. He's 19 now so there are other things more important than hanging out with dad. Several years ago I did teach a friend of mine, he was fascinated with the things I was doing and wanted to learn. He did well, even had a store together. then he moved and has no shop space, so I can't herdly ever get him to run the saw . In fact his saw is in my storage shed. I wish I could find another child/teenager that wanted to learn the art.
