Use of scrap wood

I made a few boxes that you have to cut the inside, saved them and used the forester bit to drill the hole in the middle.

Got the glass candle holder and voila you have a nice little hostess gift or give away.

Save a forest LOL

I just used 3 coats of Tung oil for the finish.

 

Just add some more

Nice job Pete, I have been wanting to make a candle holder for the last couple of years. But something always gets in the way, right now it is dragons and racetracks . At least I'm keeping busy and staying off the streets.

Very nice.  Makes me think I am not crazy for saving all the little piece of scrap wood.  I just can't toss it.  I like ideas like this, I even have a bag full of little candles.
