jbrowning
Well, I might be going to Parker and looking at another Dewalt 788. He is suppose to be sending me some pictures of what the other side looks like so I can see if it is a type one or two. https://denver.craigslist.org/tls/6080327260.html Jim

jbrowning
Thanks Iggy, I'm hoping to keep mine to only two. Good luck with yours. Jim
hotshot
Looks like it might have a problem with the blower. If it runs smooth, I would go with it, even if it is a type two. Edited April 9, 2017 by hotshot
jbrowning
Thanks, yeah I thought the same thing about the blower. But I'm sure that isn't the first blower that went bad and should be able to find a fix for it. Jim

jbrowning
Yes it was, but it just wants me to learn how to tear the saw apart to replace those bearings and things. I think that is the problem. Oh and the motor had 2004 on it. So I'm guessing that is the year it was manufactured? Glad you found you a solid one Iggy. jim

The one I bought today is 2006.

jbrowning
That's my kind of price! Go for it! I did Kevin, but there was a serious knocking that I heard and wasn't sure what it would take to fix it. Anyone have any suggestions of what it might be. I know this is probably opening a can of worms. Thanks Jim

jbrowning
It's a type 2 with a 2004 date on the motor. Jim
