Denny Knappen
I was looking for something simple to complete this weekend. The pattern is by Jacob Fowler and found in CWWC September 2008. The upright is 1/2" Eastern Red Cedar and the base is 3/4" Walnut. I thought red would look good for the rooster. I used FD UR #1 and #5 blades. The finish is spray Shellac. Comments welcome. Scrappile
Nice job. Looks like a big Rhode Island Red Rooster. When we had chickens that was our choice. I miss my Chickens.
Denny Knappen
Well Cockadoodledo, that is some nice ornament. I believe I have that issue.I know I have some of J.Fowler patterns.I recognize the way the stand is made. Actually the stand was my idea. There is a slot for the upright to sit. Either on the stand as shown or hang on the wall. Gordster
