I was looking for something simple to complete this weekend.  The pattern is by Jacob Fowler and found in CWWC September 2008.  The upright is 1/2" Eastern Red Cedar and the base is 3/4" Walnut.  I thought red would look good for the rooster.  I used FD UR #1 and #5 blades.  The finish is spray Shellac.  Comments welcome.

Well Cockadoodledo,that is some nice ornament.

I believe I have that issue.I know I have some

of J.Fowler patterns.I recognize the way the stand is made.

Actually the stand was my idea.  There is a slot for the upright to sit.  Either on the stand as shown or hang on the wall.
