rjR
I am delivering the rocking horse this afternoon. Of course at the last minute; I thought of a gift for the little girl whose brother is getting the horse. So from layout to assembly was a rush job. It is made from about 3/8 pine and a firewood base. I spent about 1-1/2 hours total on it. The horses feet are pegged into the base with bamboo skewers, I have found that they do work well for this sort of thing. The base has very cheap felt feet put on it to remain scratch free. Deliberately left with no finish so she can paint it as she wishes I did a stack of 2 and made a template for more at the same time. jollyred, Lucky2, penquin and 3 others

So kind of you to think of the sister too. I am sure everyone in the family was thrilled with both projects. Thanks for sharing.
