I do a l lot of compound cutting for my bar-hopping fundraising. I suspect that here in the US the compound cutting scrollers use 2X2 studs. (Actual size is 1.5 X 1.5") I have found that Home Depot has a 2X2 labeled "Select Pine". It is usually located near the craft wood display.
