I clicked the like button on someone's work.

I got a popup that says "You are not allowed to give reputation to this user." 

Well that's kinda rude...

Huh.  That's weird.  Can you post a link to what  you were trying to Like?  I'll take a closer look.

The "like" part worked, at least it says I liked it in the bottom right of the first post. I tried unliking and reliking just now and didnt' get the same error message, so I dunno...

I did just google the phrase that popped up and it seems like a legit error message for forums, so I know I'm probably not hallucinating.

i had something similar ,don't remember what it was but as always i try again and lo and behold it worked

I had the same notice a couple of times yesterday.  I clicked on the 'LIKE' button on one of Iggy's posts and one of Kevin's and it said "You are not allowed to give reputation here".  I tried clicking like a few times and I still got the same message.

Can you link me to the post?  Can you Like other posts?  Or is it just being difficult on that one?

When it was doing it to me I had liked some of Kevin's before and after.  It was just being difficult when it felt like it I think.
