Now I did not know that

Never thought of that.  Good idea, it needs maintenance like any bearing I guess.  Also remember, what goes up, can come down.  I say this because I had a couple time where I raised mine started to move my piece of wood and the arm came down.  It never hurt anything other than give me a scare, but I have been afraid it might happen and break a fragile piece of fret work.  So I had a block of wood with a handle on it, left over from my days with a DeWalt saw and I always just slipped it under the arm just to be safe when working on fragile items.

Forgive me for sounding dumb, but.... My EX does lift rather rough. So the question is, where is the adjusting screw?

Yes when facing your saw like your cutting look on the left side at the back there is a bolt with a flat head adjust screw in it. You can also adjust the bolts on each side that hold the upper arm to the machine. I took the adjustment screw out of mine and just use the 2 bolts. Which ever one you choose be careful not to over tighten or losen as it'll cause breakage.

On the EX saw when the lift arm starts to feel a little rough up and down .The adjusting screw has a ball bearing mounted on the tip.I took the screw out and added a little 3 in 1 oil to the bearing, pushed it in and out a couple of times. Now it acts like a new saw

a little grease will be there for ever!
