Denny Knappen
I finished four of these this weekend. The patterns are by Diana Thompson and purchased from her website. I used Eastern White Cedar and Eastern Red Cedar. I found that the Eastern White Cedar was a little too soft. I used FD Polar #5 and #9 blades. This finish was two dips in sanding sealer. I have now made over 200 of these. Comments welcome. Lucky2, Phantom Scroller, penquin and 1 other

My first set came from a magazine, CWWC May 2011. blights69

Denny Knappen
Thanks for all the nice comments. My wife doesn't like all the traipsing from the shop into the house. Taping, cutting, taping, cutting, and finally sanding.

don in brooklin on
Look great. Love the red bird. I love to do them as gifts. Each year my daughter who is a principal likes to give a gift to each of her teachers at Christmas and last year it was a birdhouse for each (50+) and she got lots of compliments. The only thing I like to do is fill the hole with moss that I get at the dollar store.
