Popular Post MrsN Posted June 3, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted June 3, 2017 Earlier this year someone gave one of my nephews a wooden sword, and his brother was quite jealous and sort of complaining to grandma about the whole ordeal. Well grandma said "your aunt Katie makes lots of wood stuff, maybe if you ask her really nicely she will make you one" The orders were "Just like my brothers, but cooler" the electrical tape on the handle was on the original and was pretty important. Behind the sword is a shield made from a paint tray. I just didn't have time to whip up a full shield to go with it. Scrolling Steve, Iguanadon, oldhudson and 8 others 11 Quote
Gordster Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 That is very nice Katie....Good idea with the shield. Some around here are using old satellite dishes and turning them into captain America shields..yours looks easier. Quote
dgman Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 Looks great Katie, he will love it! I used to have to make swords for my son when he was little. Every couple of months he needed a bigger and better sword. But I didn't mind, it was a fun way to bond with him! Quote

125 CSL Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 A few years back I went to a Tartan festival. Some guy was making these little shields. Do not think it would be hard to make and the kids might get a kick out of one or two amazingkevin 1 Quote
MrsN Posted June 3, 2017 Author Report Posted June 3, 2017 My idea for a shield was very similar to those, I just ran out of time for this weekends trip I will probably add to their armory in the future. 125 CSL 1 Quote
