Aggie Posted June 11, 2017 Report Posted June 11, 2017 I cut a stack of 2 owls and on one cut the broad jumped and the piece broke off from the tree in the upper right side on one of the broads but nothing happened to the owl, I really don't want to waste the owl, do you think it's savable ? Rob Posted June 11, 2017 Report Posted June 11, 2017 If you hadn't mentioned it and I hadn't seen both I would have assumed it was a continuation of the shadow on the underside of the branch. Perhaps you can glue a little back in depending on how it broke but I definitely think you should save it. Good luck, Rob Aggie and Lucky2 2 Quote
Scrappile Posted June 11, 2017 Report Posted June 11, 2017 Absolutely. You could glue the piece back on if you still have it and want to, or not,, just don't display them side bu side if you leave it as is, no one will notice, unless you point it out. Aggie, Lucky2 and jollyred 3 Quote

Aggie Posted June 12, 2017 Author Report Posted June 12, 2017 Thanks for the input, the piece was ripped out on one side if I was to glue it back it wouldn't look right, I can cut out the piece that's still on the picture so you don't notice it. Quote
lawson56 Posted June 12, 2017 Report Posted June 12, 2017 I agree.Save it.I have done it many times.Unless it's a major piece.I go ahead and save it.They look Awesome. Aggie 1 Quote
wombatie Posted June 12, 2017 Report Posted June 12, 2017 I didn't even notice that there was a piece missing until I read your post. Looks fine to me and who's to say that that part of the tree is no a dark piece. Looks great, both of them. Marg Aggie 1 Quote

meflick Posted June 12, 2017 Report Posted June 12, 2017 I agree - even if they were side by side - its just the "artistic license" you took to make them slightly different! I would like either of them. Great work. Aggie 1 Quote
blights69 Posted June 12, 2017 Report Posted June 12, 2017 File off the little stubby bit where it snapped and leave as it is it looks like a shadow as others have said Great cut by the way Aggie 1 Quote

Blaughn Posted June 13, 2017 Report Posted June 13, 2017 Visually, I prefer the one without that section. It draws attention to the owl. Nice work. Aggie 1 Quote
