Iguanadon
After cutting about 1200 animal puzzles there are a couple that I really don't like to cut. Up until yesterday they were the CHOCOLATELAB due to the number of letters crammed into a dog body and the SCHNAUZER due to the amount of fur detail that needed to be cut. Well, now my new least favorite is... the GOLDENDOODLE... a perfect combination of the other two... a lot of letters and a heck of a lot of fur. I had gotten the pattern a few months ago but when I saw it, I decided I'd only cut one if someone asked... well someone asked this past Saturday so I had to bite the bullet. I'm honestly hoping nobody else wants one in the near future. LOL Iggy Scrappile, Lucky2, GrampaJim and 4 others
Blaughn
Nice! My hands hurt just looking at it. Now you need to do one for Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Seriously, that is a great job!

GPscroller
Funny thing Scott, was going to ask you about this very pattern. Also, as Rob mentioned above, my friend calls his a Labradoodle also. After seeing yours, however, I think I will wait before ordering and attempting. GOLDENDOODLE and SAXOPHONE... the two most intricate of all the Harvey Byler patterns in my opinion. GPscroller
Iguanadon
FYI - I was just speaking with Harvey on the phone about a custom pattern I needed and during our conversation I asked if he had a "master list" of his 700+ puzzle patterns and he said he had a pretty comprehensive list and he's sending me a copy. I'll scan it and then find a way to share it with everyone. blights69
wombatie
You may not have like cutting it but boy it looks fabulous. I love it. Looking at the others I like the Cavalier but not so much the King Charles and love the Newfoundland. How would you go with a Labradoodle?????????????????? meflick
Very nice. I love seeing your work. I was wondering about that one because I have a sister-in-law who has a golden doodle and figured if I started making them and giving them as gifts to family and friends, she would want that one. Think in this instance, it might be better to get it customized with the Dog's name "Cookie" - At least it would be a whole lot less letters! However, I am with Frank, I think I will pay you to do it either way! Will look much nicer for sure and I will not be in a foul mood from the stress of it. To top it off, would also have to get you to do the saxophone even though I got the pattern - you talked me out of it too with its delicate and stressful cutting! Now, while we are at it - I will also need my sister who has the Dachshund and the Chihuahua mix. Chihuahua head - Dachshund body - that would be a few letters to do as well. Maybe just doing the dog's name "Rosie" would be okay. Like the others, by you showing your work I got interested and have bought and cut some. Still need to get pictures taken to post. Figured they make great gifts and help me practice cutting on the lines - important for Intarsia work. Goldendoodles and Labradoodles are two different "blends" - one is a standard poodle mated with Golden Retriever and the other is the poodle with a Lab. Labradoodles are more the norm in many places I think but Goldendoodles are on the rise I gather. My sister-in-law has had her's for 8-10 years now I think. I have a golden retriever, and so I got the Golden and the Retriever patterns. Think I prefer that to trying to squeeze the "Golden Retriever" all into one! Scrappile
A Goldendoodle is a Golden Retriever/Poodle mix and a Labradoodle is a Labrador/Poodle mix. And Meflick beat me to it. And she has the Golden Retriever, I have a Standard Poodle. And by the way, the Standard Poodle is not the fluff dog the AKC make them look like. They are great dogs, and were originally breed for hunting. Great hunting dog. Edited June 14, 2017 by Scrappile

I may have to come up with a "special" price for cutting Golden Doodle's... LOL I have a lot of folks that come up and when I ask what breed they're interested in they say "I have a mix... a Dachshund and a Chihuahua" for instance, I smile, pick up the two breed puzzles and say "No problem, I can glue these two together." And we all chuckle. I then ask if it was a rescue dog and if they say yes, I show them the RESCUE puzzle and they usually end up buying that. There are so many "mixes" out there, and many of them look unique or different, so there's simply no way to have all possibilities. Golden Doodle is the only one I've bothered to even check to see if Harvey has done a pattern. meflick
Paladin
Greyhound is the one I have trouble with - the letters at the front end up being so small. I guess it doesn't help that we adopted a greyhound and I ended up cutting a bunch of them for the adoption organization Steve

I liked Harvey's car puzzle patterns and I bought one of the patterns and really liked the final product, but the lettering is small and I decided not to add them to my offerings. I may try them again some time though... blights69 and wombatie
