Every so often I find a board that has some nice black streaks in it and I will buy it and put it aside for when I need to make PENGUIN's. Even the everyday regular boards have beautiful shade variations that I enjoy seeing in the finished puzzles. Here is a snapshot of the 19 puzzles I cut yesterday and today that I just oiled. Iggy so there is a method to your madness, lol
rdatelle
Iggy, they all still look good. I like the idea of the rack you have. I was just standing them up on cardboard to dry. Have to see if I can pick up some wire. I do dip them like you do though. I bought a gallon like you said and pour the oil back into the container when I'm done. I pour mine in that plastic container you see in the lower right of the picture, I keep it in there and add to it as it runs low. I get 400-500 puzzles per gallon.
