Popular Post jerry1939
Our condo has the mailboxes in the entryway. We have a super nice Lady mail carrier. Her name is Merree (MEree). We invited her in and gave her this. Her eyes immediately watered up. It also has her truck number above the windshield. Because the postal emblem was so fragile, I used a sacrifice board underneath. I cut the emblem out of the sacrifice board and made a pendant for her. As soon as she left, we could hear start to cry just outside the door. Some days it makes what we do worthwhile. jerry Dave Monk, Dan, Lucky2 and 14 others

wombatie
There are so many people in our every day life that we very rarely say hi to let alone acknowledge them in sure a fabulous way. She was grateful that she had made a difference to your lives too. Marg GrampaJim

RangerJay
A meaningful gift of appreciation - emotionally appreciated - undoubtedly destined to be proudly displayed in her home and forever cherished - what a neat story - doesn't get much better than that. munzieb
Jerry, what a wonderful gift and how appropriate. July 1st is National Postal Worker Appreciation Day. Remember that they are the ones that come to your house almost every day. They are also the ones that get up in the middle of the night to load and fly and service airplane, drive long haul trucks, sell stamps, sort mail, drive their own or noisy mail trucks in all sorts of weather with their windows open. If you see one today, say thanks and that you appreciate what they do. We love our mail lady NiKi. She has over 800 stops every day!

I deleted the pattern, because I would never again need it. Google - Mail Truck Photos. I imported it into inkscape and traced the lines. munzieb
Revisiting an old topic. This morning our mail lady came by today. She has been out on disability for several months and we hadn't seen her for a while . I had made another mail truck plaque as a donation for the NRLCA, National Rural Letter Carrier Association meeting in Lexington SC this fall. She was excited to tell me that the plaque had sold for $240 at the annual auction!! It feels good to help out. Lucky2 and meflick
