Can we still send members private messages,i've looked but don't see?

Yes you can. Click on the envelope at the top right of the page and then "compose new".

 

There should be a way to click on someone's name and contact them but I haven't found it.

Joe, I clicked on your name and there is a button with an envelope to click on next to your profile name/picture  - after the Follow Member button - if I click on that Envelope/Message button, it will take me to the area to send you a Private message.

Thanks. I see now that if I just hover my mouse over a name I also get a small box with the message option.

You're right.  I'm not one to "hover" much (for which my children are grateful ) so I wouldn't have caught that.  Good to know.
