Hello to all. Just getting started with scrolling and found this site. Some really talented people posting in the gallery. I retired about three years  ago and moved back to Louisiana. I have  always enjoyed woodworking but didn't have the time or space. While browsing the web one day I ran across a video of Judy Gail Roberts workshop. It sparked my interest  so I decided to give scrolling a try. I found a Porter Cable saw on Craigslist and have been making dust for a couple of weeks now. Also have been  watching a number you tube instruction videos and reading this forum. I searched for a scrolling club in my area but haven't found one yet. Any members in the Baton Rouge area willing to offer advise please reach out. I posted my first attempt at intarsia in the Intarsia section. Of course it had to be a Pelican as it's the State bird of Louisiana.

Welcome to the village Roland.  Look forward to your participation here. You mentioned you were inspired by a JGR video of her shop.  Have you had the opportunity yet to come and visit her shop?  If not, and you are ever in the East TN/Smokies area it is well worth planning a visit to her shop to see it in person.  It is truly awe inspiring for sure.
