trackman
Has anyone used or even heard of Garapa? It is a lot like yellowheart but a bit darker. From South America. In the picture the tag is misspelled, should be garApa not garOpa. Now have to find something to make out of it. It sold for $4.79 BF not bad. hawkeye10
I have not heard of it but it looks pretty. Price is pretty good also. I bought some walnut a while back and paid a little over $5 a BF for it and and after getting it home it looked like well you know know what I mean. Inside the warehouse where it was stored was pretty dark. That is the only bad wood I have ever bought from them.
WayneMahler
Kind of reminds me of Osage Orange. On a quick search it was compared to Ipe for decking on high end work. With the way the grains, it could possible make a beautiful box or similar item. Keep us posted as to what you decide. heppnerguy and SCROLLSAW703

Called Frank Miller Lumber. Can see on there website. I am very lucky to live so close to a great place to get any type of wood I need. I did order lumber from them when I taught woodworking because we were in their delivery area. I always got great looking lumber.
