Montserrat
How do you guys pack intarsia, so that it makes it safely through USPS and UPS doesn't break the bank?
hawkeye10
I don't know about intarsia but I have never had anything damaged in USPS flat rate boxes.
jerry1939
I ship a lot of fretwork (not intarsia). Wrap it with a few layers of bubble wrap. As for the cost, with any carrier, it makes you wonder about taking out a home equity loan. Had already thought about delivering it ourselves, but the gas & meal(s) would cost more. Be prepared to bite the bullet. I don't sell anything, but for those of you that do, be sure to have the buyer also pick up the cost of freight. jerry
trailfndr
I have shipped many Intarsia pieces. I wrap in Bubblewrap, and pack tightly in a box so that it can not move. I have also used FedEx to ship larger pieces in what they call and Artists box. Have not had any pieces break to date. amazingkevin, GrampaJim and WayneMahler
