And, there are two types of foot switches, "dead man" and the "press on, press off". I think most, but not all use the "dead man" type. I got a Treadlite II with my Hegner. I like it the best of all the foot switches I have used. I didn't think I would, it is smaller in size than the others I have owned, but I do like it best.
