penquin Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 Just wondering if anyone has a simple way to turn a PDF to a JPG file. Got a lot of PDF files and always have to print than scan and than save as a JPG if I want to get them in Rapid Resizer or anyother program. Looking for a one or two click way to open a PDF and same the main page easily as a JPG if possible. Thanks for any help. jim penquin Quote
Montserrat Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 I have photoshop elements (a cheap version of photoshop) and it opens pdfs just fine. But you can choose how big you want to print something in Adobe pdf, too. Quote
Iguanadon Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 I just tried this online tool and it worked. Apparently it will only do 1 or 2 pages at a time unless you sign up and pay, but if you're doing single page pdf's, you might be able to keep using it. :-) https://docs.zone/pdf-to-jpg NC Scroller 1 Quote
JOE_M Posted August 23, 2017 Report Posted August 23, 2017 irfanview is a free photo editor and it's got a lot of good stuff. Conversion is as simple as opening a pdf in irfanview, and saving as a jpg. If you're wanting to do patterns later on, irfanview is good for taking a picture and easily converting to b/w or eliminating the background one shade at a time to make it simpler to manipulate in inkscape or gimp. jollyred Posted August 24, 2017 Report Posted August 24, 2017 if you have Gimp, it will open pdf and export as png, jpg and other file formats. NC Scroller and OCtoolguy 1 1 Quote

I agree this is probably the easiest program to do it in and you sure will get better photos than scanning, copying, etc. Edited August 24, 2017 by EarltheScroller OCtoolguy 1 Quote

I have Gimp and I bought a book that's about 2" thick. I can't figure it out. Way too complicated. Irfanview is very easy. Quote
