Popular Post EarltheScroller Posted August 25, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Finally have the Carousel almost finished. This shows the scroll saw work that surrounds the different parts. I carved and painted all 12 animals (8 go up and down) and rebuilt much of the original construction to include the scroll saw work. The picture is sort of blurry because I had to have it rotating to have the lights come on. Only you guys will appreciate the 16 panels and 24 ornamental pieces (mirror surrounds and animals) around the top. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse There is a miniature carousel maker that sells rough outs. Each animal is cut on a band saw in around 10 parts...thighs, lower legs, body, tail, head, neck, etc. It saves a lot of band saw time but I totally carved each part, glued them together and painted them. From basswood. spirithorse 1 Quote

I actually used three different plans and then improvised in combining them as well as included ideas from other miniature carousel builders. Quote
