Wax your table this weekend

Just a reminder. i have been talking with a friend about it and got to looking at mine, been a while since I waxed it and had a load of oil from my hands on it.  Sanded it down and waxed it up and now its just like brand new.  Good weekend to do this.

Some times I think I spend half my time waxing all my table tops. It truly makes a difference.

The top of mine is nice and smooth, but there's a pile of sawdust building up in that one spot underneath. Maybe it's time for a brazilian wax?

I coated my table with Teflon last year and no rust. The saw dust can be easily blown or swept off effortlessly. No wax needed.

I don't wax on, wax off I use WD40  PTFE or SILICONE spray and the PTFE is great for double glassed window hinges in fact any hinge no sticky residue for dust and grime to stick to

I've always been in the habit of cleaning saw, oiling and waxing table after each use. I was taught at an early age to clean up shop when done and is just automatic.

I wax my scroll saw tables evry day before use. I wax the tables of all of my tools at least once per month, or more frequently if used heavily.

I started using vinyl shelf paper about 2 or 3 months ago and it has been working out real good. No more black on the bock of my work The work glides across it.And it has been holding up real good.It seems like on the Excalibur all of them little Vac.holes have been collecting all of the residue from  waxing.Now they are covered up.

I switch tables on dewalts i own so i'm always using the first one i Formica-ed still holding up strong and very slippery.No oils or wax for me .
