Rolf
I can't find the original post, but I thing Randy asked if I had a picture of one the round blades. They were discontinued many years ago. I still have a few. The pictures are not great but here they are. SCROLLSAW703
So is it a type of spiral blade, or? What did you use them for?
cnkcustoms02
Reminds me of the round hacksaw blades on my most hated hacksaw

Rolf
Mike used to sell them many years ago. According to him back then, they were too expensive to make and the tooling to make them was supposedly destroyed. They were a very smooth cutting blade but performed like a spiral. It was replaced by the FD New spiral line. I used them when I did things like this Volker Arnold design, the Frauen Kirche, (Womens Church) perfect uniform veining. dgman
Beautiful piece Rolf! Question, how did you get rid of your duplicate posts?
spirithorse
Pretty unique and intriguing. They just remind me of the spiral blades for tools like the RotoZip. God Bless! Spirithorse SCROLLSAW703
Lucky2
Those were the first of what was considered a spiral blade, they didn't last very long on the market as the new spiral blades came out and worked better. The issue with these blades, was that they cut a wide kerf and they were difficult to clamp into the blade clamps. They did do a fairly descent job of cutting, and they were very hard to break. SCROLLSAW703
they look like they'd be hard to break. Looks like they'd work great in hardwood. Awesome cutting, Rolf. I just don't use spiral blades of any kind to be much of a hand with them. I keep several sizes on hand for various things, but would be great if I could find some of those, Rolf. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work in our BM'S w/out any issues. Be a different blade to try & have around. Thanks for showin' us. I learned somethin' today.;)
