rdatelle Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone. I just finished this piece yesterday. This is a sample I made for a friend of mine. I want to thank Gordie for sending me the pattern plus a couple more he sent me. This one is made out of 3/4 Oak with a 1/8 B/B background. I know there colors are black and gold but I didn't want to take away from the Oak and paint it. I'll do one more out of pine and paint it black and gold and see which one looks better. Well I took Waynes advice and did this one with a black backer. Edited September 16, 2017 by rdatelle jollyred, Lucky2, lawson56 and 1 other 4 Quote

Why not just paint the backing black and leave the oak alone as it is already goldish... Very nice cutting Quote
rdatelle Posted September 16, 2017 Author Report Posted September 16, 2017 That's not a bad idea. I might try that. Quote

wombatie Posted September 18, 2017 Report Posted September 18, 2017 Great cutting Ralph. It loses a lot with the yellow background though, I prefer the black. Marg Quote
