Denny Knappen
I needed a quick easy project from the new issue of SWWC Winter 2017. The pattern is by Bruce Shea. I used 3/4" Poplar for the word art and 1/4" Yellowheart for the star. The blades used were FD UR #1 and #5. The finish was one coat of sanding sealer and two coats of spray Shellac. Comments welcome. Phantom Scroller, jollyred, Dave Monk and 6 others 8

meflick
Wow Denny, you are fast! I just got mine yesterday so I figure yours was about the same time given our locations and here you are with that already done.! It's beautiful and I love the use of the yellow heart for the star. I hope to give this a try at some point so thanks for letting us know the woods and blades you used. If mine is half as good as yours I would consider it well done. Thanks for sharing. dgman
Beautiful piece Denny! I'm looking forward to cutting it myself. One thing I will do is mount it to a base so it doesn't get knocked over.
