wdkits1 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Share Posted June 16, 2010 Hi everyone Because of time restraints I didn't get to do the WIP of the Bear Box Intarsia like I had planned but here are the pics of the finished box. I started with the subject photo Then I drew the pattern to fit the lid of the box. And after slaving at the scroll saw here is the finished box.The box is made from Fishtail oak with a Wenge accent strip. and measures 7†x 9†x 3.5 †There are a total of 70 pieces from 10 different woods used for the intarsia. . I have been wanting to do intarsia for a long time but I keep putting it off because it looks ssssssssssooooooooooooo hard but I will do it one day. You inspire me.
