JOE_M
This is a font called "all I want for christmas." Does it look close? I'd do 6mm or smaller ply, not MDF but that's because I'm not a fan of the termite barf. edit: If that's the font, tell me what number you want and I can throw it together in a few minutes in the morning. Rob
Hey Merlin, I made one recently using some melamine faced MDF that came from my daughters old Ikea bed. About 5-6mm thick (quarter inch approx). I didn't need any finish as it was already white on one side and blue on the other. Rob
merlin
Rob and Joe Thanks for the help.........................I have found what I call close enough. Will post a picture tomorrow nite. I have some 3-4mm ply and I will also try an LP record...................To much crap in MDF and they actually use MDF for these things to stick into cakes.......Yuk Merlin................ MrsN
I made a few different cake toppers for my wedding cakes (I had several small cakes instead of one big one) I used acrylic that was about 3/16" thick Lucky2 and JTTHECLOCKMAN
merlin
Hey people, I cut one from vinyl and had a hardboard backer which I used as sort of box to keep it from breakage. Rob
Looks good Merlin. I know what you mean about the MDF but I reckoned it wouldn't be in the cake for more than a minute or two so didn't worry about it. Rob
