Runa
So I bought the saw on craigslist that was advertised for SC163VS and after getting it home last night, I learnt it is a very old SC162vs, rusty. I bought it for $55. Not sure this was a good buy atall. I am unable to find any manual for it online. Does anyone know if this accepts plain end blades? kmmcrafts
I think this is the same saw that I had years ago.. and I come across this doing a simple search of the make and model added manual to the end of the search.. If I remember correctly.. I do think it will take plain end blades.. but don't quote me on that.. I only had mine a very short time back around 2005.. I owned it for a whole 3 weeks... wasn't a bad saw either.. I just had my wheel and deal hat on back then.. SCROLLSAW703
by the looks of the parts diagram, it uses pin end blades.
Sparkey
Can you take a picture of the top blade holder and post it? I would think it would. I had a Ryobi scroll saw that was 35 years old and it took pin less blades. There should be a Allen screw on the right side as you face the saw. They are not fun to put in but it did take them. Rockytime
Just google your Ryobi. I found the owners manual on line and it says it will use either pin or plain end blades. It includes a complete manual and parts list. SCROLLSAW703
