Great job Wayne! It looks very fragile at the point of the shield.

Not so bad that is why I cut it from one inch oak. Once mounted it will be fine. Thanks, it's a fun cut this one fairly quick also

Nice job.  I have come to love the look on peoples' faces when I give them a scrolled gift.  In this day and age of computer-generated, high speed manufacturing - nothing speak louder than a handmade piece that is chosen specifically for the recipient.

Wayne, That came out super cool. Not easy to cut that 1" oak.

thanks, I don't find it so difficult, it just takes a bit longer but I cut this in about 20 mins. Son put a coat of tung  oil on it last night and it looks of coarse even better.

My son is a big fan so I cut this for him tonight. The look on his face when I brought it upstairs when it was freshly cut was priceless... Gonna make the kid finish it though...

So here is what I ended up doing to finish the Vegas golden Knight. It's a scarf holder that I got a bunch of when a store was closing. My son and I both thought it looked close enough to pass as a knights shield. He loves it, u ink it turned out great
