oldhudson
I have a newer Excalibur. For the first time I tried to cut a bevel, the blade is scrapping against the throat. If anyone has ideas of what I've done wrong or what's up with the saw - I can use the help. I can post pics if it will help..... Thanks for reading. I have an EX but I have not turned the table.
WayneMahler
The only time mine would scrape is if the blade was a little loose and I was at 45 degrees tilt. Maybe some photos will help? You can also call Ray at Seyco and ask him. SCROLLSAW703

Lucky2
Berry, my EX did this a couple of times over the years, sometimes reloading the blade will make a difference. Another thing that might help, you could loosen the table bolts on the front of the saw and push the table in the opposite direction of the scrape. Just loosen the bolts, don't remove them completely. Another fix, push the top arm over into the opposite direction of the scrape, you don't have to push it to hard just push it. Len That worked great Len. I loosened the four bolts (and let me say they were really tight) but then the table moved easily to the side, clearing the blade. Re-tightened the bolts and moved on. Many thanks!! If your ever in St. Paul I'll buy the beer. Lucky2

oldhudson
Well you're welcome to stop by too. The colors and temps are great right, but who knows what it will be like next week?
