Runa
So i am working on building a simple lamp and wondering what kind of film you use on backside of fretwork to soften the light bulb? I keep looking but not sure where i can find flexible one and also possibly comes in different colors. Any pointers will be very much appreciated. Scrappile
I think colored cellophane works well, I am just not sure where you get it. Hobby shop? How you doing with that "new to you" saw?? Runa

There are light filters gel sheets but not sure that is what i can use. I am getting used to #3 blade. It moves very differently from bigger blade. So made some small stuff and will post pics as soon as i have them finished Edited October 20, 2017 by Runa SCROLLSAW703

I certainly know to check before I spend on a nice scroll saw. I hope to find a way to recoup some money before i can so want to make a few nice things I can sell locally. Any saw will get the job done but saws that have creature comforts make child's play out of scrolling.I'm a sold Dw788 scroll saw man. munzieb
A few years ago, I built a scrolled lamp and lamp shade. I wanted a soft yellow/amber light. I ordered some thin amber plexi glass. The color was right but the LED light was still too stark and almost blasted through the fret work. Decided to use a parchment paper/Velum and it did the trick. Bought it at Hobby Lobby. Used contact cement to adhere to back/interior. Lucky2, OCtoolguy and bobscroll 2

MrsN
I have used transparency sheets. The stuff from old school days. I think you can still buy it from the office stores, although I got a stock pile from a retiring teacher. OCtoolguy
kywoodmaster
On the same lines as Katie I used the colored report covers on the only one that I have ever made. OCtoolguy
