Kragax
I just went pricing blades. I wanted to try some crown tooth blades. If you go to the Olsen site they want 5.95 for the blades, Okay. But they want over 9.00 to ship 1 dozen. Lol I'm old but not senile. Going to check my old suppliers Geeze. Sam777
That is crazy. They are making money on the product and shipping. I have been buying the pegas mg from D&D. This last order was one gross and 4 other dozens. Shipping for ALL was 3.95. What a deal. Sam

kmmcrafts
That's business strategy.. They do that because they don't like to mess around with small orders..but will if the person chooses to pay them their amount. They'd rather give a discount and ship several thousand to their distributors to let them deal with the smaller orders.. There is a company that makes the clocks I use.. I thought I'd get a better deal through them direct.. wrong.. they are about double the price of the other dealers.. unless I am purchasing several thousand clocks... per month.. LOL then I get a deal.. They don't want to fuss with small business.. but will at a price.. probably some sort of dumb law that requires them to sell.. so they do.. at a price.. but they are really hoping you go to one of the smaller distributors.. Kragax
Well, I cant find what I want so Ill bite the bullet.
JOE_M
klingspor sells them for 4.95 and wants 7.99 flat rate shipping, so that's one place cheaper. mikes workshop sells flying dutchman blades and they have the TC 2-way cut which is the same profile, different name. $3 a dozen. I forget what he charges for shipping but it's a lot less than 9 bucks. Woodcraft sells them, there's one an hour and forty minutes to your southwest. A bit of patience and some googling would probably bring up a few more.
dgman
Try Sloan's Woodshop. They sell Olson blades and shipping is not so bad.
Rolf
I am a big fan of Sloans also.
Lucky2
Kragax, it would probably be the same shipping cost, if you ordered more blades then one dozen. Sometimes it's cheaper to order more, then it is to order less. It's crazy, but sadly that's the way it works. Len
Kragax
Yeah they most likely use a flat rate box. I'm just wanting to try these as they cut slower and I might be more accurate with them but don't wan to buy a gross until I give them a try. Going to order some from Sloans to give it a shake. D&D doesn't carry the crown tooth but they seem to be a good source. Living in the area I do there is nothing local except what they might have at HD and they have very few. MrsN
I think that wooden teddy bear sells olsen blades, I don't know what their shipping rate is.
crupiea
I think thats how we all have a collection of blades we dont use. Going to pay the big shipping so might as well just do it once and get a bunch of blades.
