Nice work.

How do you keep them together. We all know how to hold wood stacks.

Thank you for sharing

Sam

Thanks Sam as in regards to keeping together to stack cut I use a very simple way and it works for me others may do different but what I do is Tape the first album but leave around 1/4"  over edges I then put the other two on the rear I use a pencil through centre hole to keep them aligned I then flap the excess tape over to hold them together lightly I then stand the stack on its edge and put blue painters tape around the whole edge of the stack this seems to hold them all together no problem for me. Hope you understand what I am trying to say if not let me know I will post pictures of each stage for you.

Frank, that's a very nice looking clock. How do you handle the thickness offset of the clock?

Len

Thanks Len I use 2 clocks parts I find the 3mm centre spindle are just about okay for a single album but the 8mm are needed if you use another album as the backer I have come unstuck with a 3mm before on a old thicker album so will now be using the 8mm all the time, as far as the thicness of the clock I have not had a problem with this yet I have a hanging screw in my little shop I affix the the movement loosely on the album and hang it make sure it hangs level then tweak it up. The hands I spray myself black a lot cheaper that way I do sometime times find the digital movement will move slightly no matter how much you tighten with the front nut which does make the clock slip and go un level at times I always check now and if it moves at all a few drops of what I call 2 part glue on the corners stops the movement no problems, mitre glue you may know it as basically a glue and spray activator instant bond. I find the thickness of the movement holds the clock off the wall enough when it is a single album to be able to get a nice shading behind the cut out onto the wall. Hope this kinda answers what you was asking ;). If I am not using a printed clock face and cutting numbers or sticking numbers on the outer edge I will use the longer arms all I get from ebay.
